Day-1 Opening Checklist

Short actionable list for opening day 1. Checkboxes are local to your browser only. Soft tips — patches change numbers.

1. Setup & focus

• Pick one product line to stock deeply (don’t buy every set thin).
• Learn the shop layout: storage, shelves, register, door.
• Note when the store can open and when bills are due.

2. Stock & price

• Buy wholesale for your chosen line and move boxes to shelves.
• Label shelves so the right packs sit in the right slots.
• Set prices after stocking — market + ~10% on packs; avoid huge >20% markups.
• Spot-check that customers can actually buy (price set, stock visible).

3. Open & sell

• Optional: use the 8:00 AM closed-store restock window before opening.
• Open the store when shelves are ready.
• Checkout yourself on day 1 — practice the register flow.
• Restock empties between customers; don’t let hero SKUs go bare.

4. Cash & close

• Pay bills before spending on speculative pack openings.
• Keep a cash buffer for tomorrow’s wholesale order.
• Order restock for what sold — not only what you want to open.
