Workers & Hiring Guide
Hire via GO Recruit
- Staff unlocks typically appear through GO Recruit as you hit level milestones.
- Check the recruit board when you level up — new candidates may appear that weren’t there yesterday.
Early workers: restock first
Soft priority
Early hires are often slow at checkout. Many players assign them to restock (and similar floor work) while you handle the register.
- Empty shelves lose more money than a slightly longer queue you control yourself.
- Pair restock workers with the 8:00 AM prep window.
Serious checkout ~ level 25
- Community guides often say a dedicated, stronger cashier becomes worth it around level ~25.
- Clark Cash is frequently cited as a solid checkout hire in that window — verify availability and stats in your version.
- Until then, self-checkout + restock help is a common early pattern.
Primary and secondary roles
Workers usually take a primary job and may cover a secondary task. Exact role names change with UI patches; the idea stays:
| Focus | When | Notes (community) |
|---|---|---|
| Restock / floor | Early | Fill shelves; free you for checkout |
| Checkout / cashier | ~mid (often ~25) | e.g. Clark Cash often cited |
| Secondary role | When available | Cover gaps; don’t overload one weak worker |
Don’t expect miracles
A brand-new hire on checkout can bottleneck the line. If queues explode, take the register back and leave them on restock until a better cashier unlocks.
